Social Media PSAs
A collection of personal public service announcements I’ve created over the past few years, using design to raise awareness and inspire positive change.
What the world needs...
My message to all in light of the Orlando massacre and all the previous acts of terror and hate. Please the world needs Peace, Love, Equality, Acceptance, Solidarity and Empathy now and forever. This is our world, let's respect and take care of one another.
March For Our Lives
As soon as I heard about yet another mass shooting, the image of Neo from the Matrix stopping bullets came to mind. Saying to myself "We need a Neo right about now"... but then I thought, it's not the job of only one person, but it's up to all of us coming together. So during the weekend I created this drawing and made two posters which I held up high at the March For Our Lives rally on March 24th, 2018.
Why Does Spider-Man Wear a Mask?
I came up with and designed this PSA to encourage people to do their part and wear a mask to slow the spread of Covid-19.
Note: The characters in my PSA are my own renditions of those well known characters and I'm only using them as part of an educational and positive message for kids and adults to feel inspired to wear a mask. Spider-Man is owned by Sony and it's also part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe which is owned by Disney.
Harris, The Shero for the People Campaign
This passion project reimagined Kamala Harris as a modern-day superhero, a “Shero for the people,” inspired by the comic book hero who shares her name and cultural roots. The campaign celebrated strength, justice, and representation, and was later followed by another pop-culture concept, “Take Swift Action & Vote Blue,” which encouraged voters to support Democratic candidates across the board. I created a full suite of promotional designs made available through my SpreadShirt store, with a portion of the proceeds donated directly to the Harris campaign.
The light that melts the ICE
This is for my community. For every immigrant who has had to live with fear in the background of everyday life. For every family separated. For every person treated like a threat just for existing.
Be the light that melts the ICE.
